At PeekABaby, our registered sonographers take their time to find the most flattering angle, gently guiding the session until your baby settles into a picture-perfect pose.

Frequently asked questions

A 2D ultrasound shows flat, cross-sectional images used for medical measurements. A 2D baby scan combines many of those slices into a single crisp, photo-like portrait of your baby's surface — so you see a recognisable little face rather than an outline.

The sweet spot is 26-32 weeks. Before this, babies have less facial fat; afterwards, space becomes tight. Our team is happy to advise on timing for your pregnancy.

We do everything we can — but image clarity depends on your baby's position, fluid levels and other natural factors. If your baby is shy on the day, we'll talk you through your options, including a return visit.

3D imaging uses the same proven ultrasound technology as standard 2D scans. Our keepsake sessions are non-diagnostic and performed gently by registered sonographers following ALARA principles.
